One of the most traditional ways of preparing squid in Spain is by cooking them in the ink they give off, and it is an authentic grandmother's recipes. Squids are a very interesting fish for children.
Squid in its ink is prepared in a few minutes, it is a quick and nutritious recipe for children, as it has proteins and minerals. Of course, they should be consumed in moderation so as not to increase cholesterol excessively.
- 1 kg. clean squid
- Squid ink
- 2 onions
- 125 ml. white wine
- 200 ml. fried tomato
Tips: You can accompany them with boiled rice or whatever your children like best.
1. Cut the squid, already clean, into strips or rings to taste. Reserve the squid while we prepare the sauce.
2. Chop the onions very finely. Heat a drizzle of oil in the pan and fry the onion until transparent. Let it cool for about fifteen minutes over low heat and add the squid.
3. When the squid start to release the water add the ink and the wine. Put over medium heat for five minutes and add the fried tomato. Let it cook for about 25 minutes all together.
4. You can serve the squid accompanied by boiled rice. To do this, cook the rice in boiling salted water for about 15 minutes, or accompany it as you like.
